Correcting one common assumption

Across earlier Pokémon releases, an Ultra-Premium Collection is often described as a smaller number of packs paired with premium extras. That is not how the 30th Celebration line is built. At 29 regular packs plus a Classic Collection pack, each Ultra-Premium Collection carries far more sealed product than either Elite Trainer Box, on top of its display and accessory pieces. If pack count is your deciding factor, the Ultra-Premium Collections lead this lineup, not the ETBs.

What every booster pack contains

Pack structure is identical in all four boxes: five foil cards plus one foil Basic Energy, and one of the 30 unique Pikachu rare cards created for the anniversary in every pack. The Pikachu you open is random — no box, edition or price point makes a specific card more likely. More packs simply means more pulls.

Standard Elite Trainer Box

Nine booster packs, one full-art Nidorina promo, and the usual Elite Trainer Box accessory package: sleeves, damage counters, dice, a coin, dividers and a code card. Eleven booster packs and two full-art Nidorina promos, one of them printed with the Pokémon Center logo. Two more packs than the standard box and a promo variant you cannot get elsewhere in the lineup. Ultra-Premium Collection — Day and Night

Both versions hold 29 regular boosters plus one three-card Classic Collection booster. Day pairs a day-themed Pikachu ex with Espeon ex; Night pairs a night-themed Pikachu ex with Umbreon ex, each with themed accessories. Because the pack structure matches exactly, the choice comes down to which promo pair you want.
