VMAX Climax was a Japanese high-class set built almost entirely from reprinted V and VMAX artwork, sold in smaller packs at a higher price point than a standard Japanese expansion. Japanese stock is cut and centred more consistently than English, so the grading pressure on this card falls on surface texture rather than centring. Gem Mint 10 with the sharp Japanese print quality is why collectors often prefer the Japanese copy of a card they already own in English.
