About Graded Pikachu Cards for Collectors

Pikachu is the franchise mascot, which gives its cards a collector base that reaches well beyond people who follow the trading card game. Promotional Pikachu printings in particular attract buyers who own no other Pokémon cards at all.

Because Pikachu appears in so many promo and distribution-limited runs, the set, language and card number matter far more than the character. Two Pikachu cards with near-identical artwork can be entirely different printings, and the only reliable way to tell them apart is the number, year and set printed on the grader's label.

We photograph every slab individually rather than using stock images, and two copies of the same card are always listed separately because each has its own certification number and its own grade. Check that number against the grading company's own lookup before buying — from us or from anyone.

Which Pikachu Cards suit you

Vintage Pikachu
Early English and Japanese printings, including the WOTC era and the 2002 Legendary Collection reverse holo at #86/110. Condition, centering and surface matter most here, and age alone does not make a printing scarce.
Japanese promos
Campaign, event and retail-tie-in Pikachu promos with their own promo numbering conventions. The distribution route, not the artwork, is usually what collectors are actually buying.
Modern Pikachu
Recent full-art, special-art, V, VMAX and ex treatments. Large illustrations and a broad audience, with grade differences driven mainly by surface and centering on the foil.
30th Celebration
The 2026 Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration line, including the announced Pikachu variations and the Elite Trainer Box and Ultra-Premium Collection products. Availability changes, so status is shown on each product page.

Verifying what you buy

Every listing shows the grading company, the grade and the certification number on the label. PSA certificates can be checked at psacard.com/cert, CGC certificates at cgccards.com/certlookup and Beckett certificates through Beckett's card lookup. If a number does not return the same card, set, year and grade shown in the listing, do not buy it.

Graded Pikachu Cards for Collectors — Frequently Asked Questions

Are Pikachu promo cards a good buy?
The distribution-limited ones interest collectors most: cards handed out at events, tournaments, or through short retail windows have smaller surviving populations. Mass-printed Pikachu promos are common and priced accordingly, so the set and card number decide how sought-after a card is, not the character.
How do I tell two similar Pikachu cards apart?
Compare the year, set, language and card number on the grading label, not the artwork. Many Pikachu printings reuse or closely resemble earlier illustrations, and the label plus the certification number is the only definitive identification.
How do I verify the card before buying?
Every slab is sold in its original untampered holder with the certification number visible in the listing photos. Enter that number into the grader's public cert lookup and it returns the card, set, year, and grade on file.
How are Pokémon orders shipped inside the US?
Orders ship from our Sayville, New York facility by UPS Ground with tracking, typically arriving in 1–5 business days inside the United States. Every card ships sleeved inside a graded-slab protector and a rigid mailer. Shipping is paid by the buyer and the exact cost — a flat UPS Ground rate of about $16 for a single slab — is shown at checkout before you pay. Full terms are in our shipping policy.
What is the return policy?
You have 14 days from delivery to return any item that arrives not as described, in its original holder and packaging. See our refund policy for the full terms.
